A creature of the in-betweens Casey H Wilkinson is an illustrator with a graphic design background. A graduate of the College of Saint Rose’s BFA Graphic Design program in Albany NY; she takes the formal education she received and dances and plays on top of it. A deep and abiding love of the natural world, and the inherent absurdity of a planet built on chaotic mutation and adaptation fuels her work. Working largely in watercolor, and digital illustration, she has been known to dabble in acrylic and ink on occasion- and loves a good repeat pattern.
If you look closely there are shades of Bill Waterson, Maurice Sendak, and Beatrix Potter mixed in like butter in mashed potatoes. If you look even closer you’ll get mashed potatoes on your nose.
Real world, you can find her most in her back porch hammock, playing video games (puzzle, rpg, and wholesome all the way) or in her tiny corridor office with the big painted tree. If she has fled the house, any local trail with running water and slate waterfalls is where the fae in her gravitates towards. Virtually, you can find her most on tiktok and threads engaging with the beautifully imperfect and vulnerable artist community. There, she champions making messes, building skill on a mountain of garbage, having a good laugh, and being kinder to yourself.
The main themes of everything Casey H Wilkinson are Absurdism and it’s hand in all things natural and man made, rest as a goal, laziness being dirty word for efficiency/simplicity, and connection and community being the central force behind heart centered and caring human advancement. If any of that sounds like a good time she welcomes you to stick around and see what nonsense she cooks up next.
